What is The Rugged Beauty Post

What is The Rugged Beauty Post

There was a time when checking the mailbox felt exciting.

Not because we were expecting a package, but because we hoped there might be a handwritten letter waiting inside. A note from a friend. A postcard from someone we loved. Something tangible that reminded us another person had taken a moment to think of us.

That feeling has become increasingly rare.

One afternoon, after opening a handwritten letter from my mom, I was reminded just how meaningful those small moments can be. We've always loved exchanging letters, and as I stood at the mailbox, I found myself wondering if I could create that feeling for someone else.

Around the same time, I had stacks of artwork and photographs tucked away in dark corners of my studio. Pieces that I loved but rarely shared. My sister suggested starting a print club, and suddenly everything clicked.

The Rugged Beauty Post was born.

Each month, I create a thoughtfully curated mailing that includes a handwritten letter, one of my art prints, a photography print, and occasional surprises. Every package is unique, inspired by the changing seasons, the mountains I call home, and the quiet beauty I find while exploring the natural world.

But this isn't simply a print club.

It's an invitation.

An invitation to slow down for a little while.

To step outside and watch the sunset instead of rushing through another evening.

To notice the scent of pine after the rain.

To pause beside a river and listen.

To look up when the moon is full.

To remember that we aren't separate from nature, we belong to the same rhythms as the changing seasons, blooming wildflowers, migrating birds, and turning leaves.

In a world that often encourages us to move faster, consume more, and stay constantly connected to our screens, I hope these monthly mailings offer something different.

A reason to pause.

A reason to notice.

A reason to reconnect with nature, with creativity, and perhaps with yourself.

My hope is that opening your mailbox becomes more than another daily task. I hope it becomes a small ritual. A moment to slow down and experience something beautiful.

Thank you for being here and for supporting my work. Whether you've been following my journey for years or you've just discovered it today, I'm grateful you've stopped by.
